New Community for Children (NCFC) provides children and youth in Washington DC’s Shaw community with learning experiences that build their academic, social, and creative skills. NCFC believes that excellent educational opportunities are essential to helping families break out of the poverty cycle. NCFC offers engaging, hands-on learning in our out-of-school time programs while advocating for healthy families and challenging schools.
ABLE (Adolescents Building Literacy Through Expression) helps students in grades 5th -12th gain skills in visual, technological, reading, writing, mathematical, scientific, and historical literacy through different workshops after school.
