Sarah Murphy
NOTE! The original flyer had the wrong date on this website and on Facebook. The date is February 27th as posted in the text. Sorry for any confusion.
While Sarah Murphy is working in the garden she likes to daydream about exotic places, fabric, clay, and wind chimes. This show will be a showcase of Sarah’s daydreams manifested.
Sarah utilizes abandoned objects, clay and cloth. As a urban gardener, she turns forgotten lots and rooftops into enjoyable gardens. As a visual artist, Sarah makes quilts and sculpture out of found material.
Sarah draws inspiration from natural forms; she brings her garden love into the studio to create whimsical pieces.
She also is a dedicated volunteer pottery teacher at the ArtSpace and avid checkers player.
Come out to the ArtSpace and support Sarah, work will be for sale and the ArtSpace’s favorite grandma will be cooking her Peruvian delights.
