Handbuilding Student Frank Asher is Founder of Old City Green

This year, the day after Thanksgiving Day, residents of the historic Shaw neighborhood and residents of the recently invigorated Downtown/Mt. Vernon Square area “will be able to pick-up their holiday trees and greens right in the neighborhood,” says master gardener Frank Asher, owner of Fairies’ Crossing and Founder of Old City Green. Live and cut trees, as well as a host of other holiday items will be available November 28, the day after Thanksgiving until December 24.
On Saturday, November 1 (Rain date November 2) from 3-6 pm, Old City Green joins with Shaw Main Streets, Shaw Green Team, and the Mid-Atlantic Gleaning Network in a special, community kickoff fund-raiser at 902 N Street, NW.
