Hello friends,

This Friday our summer watercolor teacher Soulaf Abas is going to be the featured artist at the ArtSpace. She is not only talented but such a wonderfully giving woman. Soulaf has volunteered with our summer camp, adult art workshop series as well as hanging our two youth shows. To top it all off, the sales from this Friday’s show directly benefit our programs.

This weekend, we also reach a milestone with our youth photography program. Since we first exhibited the youth work last month at the ArtSpace and on Capital Hill at Endigo Coffee Lounge (1229 Pennsylvania Ave, SE), where the show still resides, we have topped $1000 in sales! Each youth photographer earns 50% of the profit from each image sold so there will be many happy youth come pay day.

A special thanks goes to Endigo Coffee Lounge, their amazing support has accounted for over half our total sales! Do stop in and look out of Marabian and Alisa, two wonderful people that brought our work to a larger audience. UPDATE Endigo Coffee Lounge purchased all the youth work via a check that bounced. They then went out of business and never returned the youth artwork even after mulitple emails.
