We are so happy to have Melissa Matthews join us as the coordinator for Artspace. Melissa comes to Artspace as a graduate of Howard University and the co-founder, CEO and Curatorial Director of More Black Art whose mission is to nurture talent, facilitate exhibition opportunities, and provide professional development assistance for emerging artists of the African Diaspora.

Artspace is nominated for $25K Pepsi Refresh Everything Grant! If awarded the grant money will fund our newest exhibition and community arts project-In Our Hood; A month long exhibition about the gentrification of NW DC showcasing the work of 100 local Artists at three local art venues.

Most of our classes filled up during the Bazaar on December 4 but there are two classes that still have space. Click on SERVICES at the top of the page to see the details. The Artist’s Way and a project based photography class still have space at the time of this posting and as long as they are listed, space still exists!
